Cannot Delete Thumbs.db File

Definitely many of us would have faced this issue.

''Cannot delete the thumbs.db file''

Though it is just a matter of few kb, it annoys and discomforts us when we have something we really don't need.

So here is how you can delete the 'Thumbs.db' file.

  • Open the Run dialog box (Windows Key + R)
  • Type 'gpedit.msc'
  • Choose Local Computer Policy and select User Configuration.
  • Hit Administrative Templates, then Windows Components and hit Windows Explorer.

  • Double click the property in the main pane 'Turn off the display of thumbnails and only display icons'.
  • Enable it and hit Apply.

That's it. You're done !!!
